Who we are
Placom Manufacturers is a social enterprise that transforms plastic waste into compelling creations that inspire and shed light on pressing environmental issues like plastic pollution. Our unique manufacturing technique enables us to create furniture, interiors, and works of art using 100% recycled plastic waste sourced from households, the environment, and businesses. Through community-based/led buy-back centers, we provide a sustainable approach to the entire lifecycle of plastic waste—from collection through design to recycling—while creating employment opportunities for local communities. Our products symbolize a better world and help consumers live by their sustainable values.
Only 27% of Kenya’s plastic waste is collected, with 8% recycled, while over 400 million tons of plastic are produced annually.
